My stay at The Pier Rooms was wonderful. the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the shower was fantastic with great water pressure. I particularly loved the modern design of the room and the extremely convenient location right next to the ferry terminal.

my stay in a cozy well-decorated windowless bunk room was amazing, with easy access to breathtaking views at oban marina just a few steps away, and the fascinating oban distillery less than a 15-minute walk from my door made my trip unforgettable.

Staying in the Windowless Double Room was a treat for one night. The room layout felt surprisingly spacious, with a modern design that impressed me. Adjustable air conditioning kept the space comfortable, and the bed was plush, ensuring a good night's sleep. Location couldn't be better for ferry travelers. Checking in through the app saved time, though it was a bit strange not having a traditional welcome. Noise from the slam bar on the entry door was disruptive. this might bother light sleepers. I did miss the tea facilities, which would have been nice to have. despite a few quirks, it was a pleasant experience, and I would consider returning.

The location is incredibly central and perfect for ferry access, though the lack of windows may not be for everyone. The heights of the bed were a bit awkward, making it challenging to climb in. Sufficient charging points nearby were appreciated.

The room had an unbearable musty smell that lingered throughout, likely due to the lack of windows. I also noticed the carpet was dirty with clumps of hair in the corners. The bathroom left much to be desired, with visible stains around the sink and even some concerning marks in the shower drain. If that wasn’t enough, nighttime was interrupted by the noise from the restaurant above and a toilet cistern that just wouldn’t stop dripping. All in all, I wouldn't jump at the chance to come back anytime soon.
